ABOUT
The works produced for this exhibition consist of collages on Expo 67 lagoons bridges construction plans and contrasting colors photographic extracts reproductions on acrylic support.
The collages are composed of handwritten plans, to which are incorporated extracts of locomotive plans from the 1990s produced by the first pen printers and extracts of drinking water system plans produced by the latest laser printers. Together, they represent the evolution of technical drawing, the collegiality of engineering and the objects of cultural, financial and social development supported by engineering infrastructures. Finally, the paint composition applied in a rigorous but diffuse manner, inspired by beams and columns bridges structural elements, represents by its abstract nature the part of abstraction constituting the accomplished ideas.
Vestiges of technical drawing traditional methods, preserved thanks to modern technologies, the bridges digitized plans have a historical, visual and technical interest in undeniable harmony with the spirit of the 60s which still today reminds us that we are part of an essential sensitive, cultural and scholarly society.
